Tomato soup

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 kg. tomatoes

  • 1 liter water

  • 1 tbsp. butter or pure ghee

  • 1/2 tsp. cumin seeds

  • 1 tsp. pepper or 2 green chillies chopped. salt to taste

  • 1 tsp. coriander leaves chopped

  • bread croutons

DIRECTIONS

  1. Boil tomatoes with one liter water, till tomatoes gets soft. Drain tomatoes and keep water aside. Cool tomatoes, peel and blend in mixie, to a smooth puree. Strain through nylon sieve.

  2. Mix it with tomato water. Heat butter or ghee, and add cumin seeds

  3. When it is brown, add in puree sugar, pepper, or chilli and salt.

  4. bring it to a boil.

  5. Reduce the heat and cook for 3 to 4 minutes, and remove from fire. Add coriander leaves. Serve with bread croutons.

Note : All these soups can be served with cheese garlic bread and bread rolls.
